It’s not long now till the 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe comes to life.
Looking back at my pictures from 2011 – and there’s a lot of them – I struggled to make a set that fitted together. It’s now dawned on me that monochrome is the way to do it so this is the result: “The Fringe” in 12 photographs; all taken on in the small area where performers gather to promote their shows.
I’ll be making a large poster of it for the wall; if you’d like one let me know. But even better would be for you to go along in August and have a go yourself.
Left to right, top to bottom (moc means member(s) of cast): delighted tourists, moc Diamond Dick, moc My Best Friend Drowned in a Swimming Pool, moc Stockholm, fish advertising some event, iPadding street performers, glamourous patron, moc the Wizard of Oz?, moc The Close Knit Theatre Company knitting while standing on a bollard, moc Nothing 2 Show, filming moc Sleeping Beauty, dancing. It was all a bit of a blur so apologies if anything’s not right.
